iPhone 6s Review

The iPhone 6s is the newest addition to the iPhone family. Although very simlar to the iPhone 6 the 6s has improved speed everywhere (new processor, faster wireless, quicker Touch ID sensor); a sturdier body; better front and rear cameras; a bold new 3D Touch pressure-sensitive display and new iOS shortcuts. On top of the new features the iPhone 6s also has the standard iPhone abilities, like wifi connect-ability and the storage capacity to hold all of your music, photos, and email. Although not much different from last year 6 model the iPhone 6s is a significant upgrade from the older iPhone 4 and 5 models, and should be a strong consideration for anyone upgrading their phone in the near future.

Media Issues Report Assignment Review

https://tctechcrunch2011.files.wordpress.com/2015/07/screen-shot-2015-07-21-at-10-12-31-am.png?w=738The Media Issues Report assignment was a fun and interesting project to work on. Through research and the building of a visual aid. (powerpoint) I was able to learn a lot about how Media and the NFL affect one another. This project opened my eyes up to just how much of an impact media has had on the growth of the NFL. Without media the NFL may have never become what it is today. That also works both ways, as the media would not have such a concentrated market to advertise to if it were not for the NFL. Overall, this was an interesting assignment which allowed me to learn a lot about issues affecting both the media and the NFL.

The Art of Flight Review

http://i.ytimg.com/vi/9_OwoVuQyLw/maxresdefault.jpg
This could possibly be the most innovative and well produced snowboard movie to ever be made. Director and producer, Curt Morgan, who is known for his action sports movies, went above and beyond for this feature starring back country snowboarder Travis Rice. Travis and a group of his friends travel all parts of the world to snowboard mountains that have never been touched.Through the support of Red Bull and Go Pro Curt Morgan was able to produce a truly amazing piece of cinematography. This movie was filmed using the RED camera system, the GoPro Hero, Vision Research's Phantom camera and Panasonic camera systems. The use of all these different camera systems made for a truly unique and beautiful production. The icing on the cake came from the movies soundtrack which featured artists from Deadmau5 to The Naked and Famous. Overall, this was an incredible movie that captivated and maintained my interest throughout.

Go Pro Hero 3+ Review

https://www.force-e.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/gopro-hero3.jpgThe Go Pro Hero 3+ is an amazing piece of technology. With its fixed wide screen view and sleek design this camera is great for anyone on the move. Personally, I have taken my Go Pro to festivals and on ski trips. Every time I am amazed to go back a watch the incredible footage that this little piece of equipment has captured. The video quality is amazing and at a retail price of around $350, it is quite affordable. My only complaint about the Go Pro is the amount of extra equipment that you need to buy. Although it already comes with a protective case and several stick on mounts, You have to buy many extras if you want to unlock the cameras full capabilities. Personally I have a dive case, mono pod, helmet, suction cup, and chest mount. With these extras I am able to capture video of the things I do no matter where I go in life. One of my favorite features of the camera is its built in wifi. With this feature, I am able to connect to my smart phone and use my phone to completely control the camera. I can choose when to take pictures or video, what to focus on, and use the phone as an interactive touch screen. Overall, this is a great piece of technology. This camera is perfect for any adventure sports athlete or anyone who just wants to capture their life on the go.

Journal Project Assignment Summarry

The journal project was a very interesting and eye opening assignment. Being forced to take a hard look at my media usage was actually beneficial to me. I never realized how much media I actually consumed. Logging every minute of every form of media I used allowed me to see exactly how much media I consumed. It was a very eye opening experience and made me much more conscious of my media use. I don't believe that I use as much media as most other people around my age and even after the project I still don't believe so. With that being said, I still would not have guessed that I used almost 48 hours worth of media in a week. This assignment has caused me to step back and think if i really need to be using as much media as I do. I don't want media to control my life.
